Item Description
Lot of three items used to promote the original 1951 release of the Columbia 15 chapter serial based on the "Captain Video And His Video Rangers" TV show. Lot includes 12.25x18" pressbook that features Post cereal promotions, advertising for various products (playsuits, sweaters, ties, belts, holster sets, wallets, socks, comic books and "2 Way Telephone" toy), promotional ideas (including "Electronic Man" robot suit to wear to attract theatergoers), "Captain Video" theater club card, as well as various photos and ad mats. Back cover shows six-sheet movie serial poster. Horizontal fold as issued w/some scattered handling/corner tip wear. Still VF overall. Rare. Comes w/pair of 11x14" lobby cards, including title cards for Chapter 1 "Journey Into Space" and Chapter 6 "Astray In The Stratosphere." Cards have some lt. margin aging and corner tip wear. Chapter 6 has Spanish censor inkstamp, but o/w both are VF.
