Item Description
Approx. 10-7/8x16.25" artboard has pencil original art by Marshall Rogers that has been inked by Terry Austin. Art is for page 26 of "Superman" Vol. 1 #400, published by DC Comics Oct. 1984. Page features six panels, showing a unshaven bum wearing a Superman costume being chased by Metropolis Militia trooper, who catches and shoots him w/laser, the laser bouncing harmlessly off the "S" shield on his chest, much to both their surprise. This was for "The Living Legends Of Superman: Chapter Four" section of this anniversary issue. Screentone accents on two panels. Both Rogers and Austin have signed in black ink at lower right, Rogers adding "90" date. Top margin has inked title and issue/page numbers. Back has DC copyright stamp. All four corners have been clipped, not affecting art, which remains clean and Exc.
