Item Description
Set of 55, each 2.5x3.5" issued in 1962, ©Bubbles Inc. (Topps). Card fronts feature choice art, in many cases quite gruesome such as #36 "Destroying A Dog" in which a Martian disintegrates a dog w/his ray gun and #50 "Smashing The Enemy" in which a US soldier splits open an alien's head using the butt of his rifle. Card backs are bw/orange featuring story text plus preview image of the following card. Final card in the set #55 features "A Short Synopsis Of The Story" on front while on back is a checklist. This card remains unused and is PSA graded VG 3. All other cards are SGC graded and grades for the set breakdown as follows: 84 NM 7 (11); 82 EX/NM+ 6.5 (5); 80 EX/NM 6 (12); 70 EX+ 5.5 (11); 60 EX 5 (7); 55 VG/EX+ 4.5 (4); 50 VG/EX 4 (3); 40 VG 3 (1). A nice complete set for one of the all-time classic gum card issues.
