Item Description
3-3/8" dia. silk-screened felt patch has baseball image at center w/Lou Gehrig's facsimile signature, surrounded by "Knot Hole - League Of America" text, referring to 1930s club sponsored by Goudey Gum. NM. Gehrig also endorsed another premium club, "Huskies" cereal-sponsored "Huskies Club." Club issued several premiums during the 1930s, including a folder featuring Gehrig's image on the front and the club was advertised in newspapers (lot includes vintage newspaper clipping w/one such ad). Lot also includes "Huskies Club" ring and pin. Ring has sports motifs on sides of bands, including baseball bat, boxing gloves, tennis racket, football, etc. and top features classical image of discus thrower w/"Huskies Club" text at top/bottom. Ring shows minor wear and near full bright gold luster remains. Exc. .75" dia. dark bronze finish metal pin features same design as top of ring, thought slightly different. NM. Both are rare. Also included is 4" tall Huskies sample box to complete the lot. VF.
