Item Description
This 1948 Nabisco Shredded Wheat premium ring features brass base w/adjustable bands and has "Ted Williams" facsimile signature on each side above designs of crossed baseball bats and a ball. Top of ring has 1" tall white plastic replica figure of Williams w/faint pink accent on his shoes and socks. Figure is mounted on a white plastic base w/a small tab and underside spring. To one side a vertical wire holds a white plastic ball and when platform is turned and released, the figure moves as if striking ball. This is a working example. Ring retains near full bright luster. NM and as nice as these come. Between the plastic parts and the delicate positioning of the wire spring, this ring was easily and quickly destroyed. Comes w/2x5" slip w/cartoon image of Williams and bears his facsimile signature. Order blank remains for additional rings remains unused. 2x3.5" slip has instructions for use/care and also features Williams facsimile signature. Both slips have some handling wear and aging and are very rare. The ultimate example of this classic premium ring, complete w/rare paperwork.
