Item Description
4-1/8x9-5/8" die-cut stiff paper promotional hanger issued by movie theater during original release of the 1935 MGM adaptation of "Mutiny On The Bounty" starring Charles Laughton and Clark Gable. Hanger is designed like the HMS Bounty w/Laughton's and Gable's names just as big as the film's title. Hanger has Carolina Theatre imprint at bottom. Hanger has staple holes at top/bottom and 7/16" tear to hanger at top w/archival tape repair on back. 1x2.25" streak of glue staining w/paper residue as once mounted, but this does not affect front's display, which remains Fine/VF overall. Very rare and first we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
