Item Description
"The Crusades" was a 1935 historical adventure film produced and directed by Cecil B. DeMille, and originally released by Paramount Pictures. It stars Loretta Young as Berengaria of Navarre and Henry Wilcoxon as Richard I of England. Offered here is 9-7/8x12.75" die-cut stiff paper mask resembling a Crusaders' helmet, complete w/simulated chain mail. Top center has "Cecil B. DeMille's 'The Crusades'" title information as we as Loew's - New Rochelle imprint and show dates. This movie theater giveaway appears to have vertical fold just right of center as issued. Some minor edge wear at left blends somewhat. Back has spot of glue staining, which only shows through onto front very slightly and does not overly affect front's display, which remains Exc. Unique design. Very rare and first we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
