Item Description
"Daredevils Of The Red Circle" is a 12-chapter Republic Movie Serial released in 1939 and starring Charles Quigley, David Sharpe, Herman Brix (better known under his subsequent stage name, Bruce Bennett), Carole Landis, Miles Mander (in a dual role) and Charles Middleton. Directed by William Witney and John English, it is considered one of the better serials produced by Republic. Offered is a 2x2-3/8" die-cut foil cardboard promotional movie theater badge featuring "1415" serial number at top. This movie giveaway is from the serial's original release and has serial name w/"Majestic Theatre" imprint. Straight pin on back for pinning to clothing. Unlike promotional buttons made for films of the era, this was not nearly as durable, resulting in its rarity today. Some lt. wear but still Exc. overall. Rare and first we've offered in our 52 years. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
