Item Description
7-5/8x10-3/85x1" deep box contains three different 7.25x10" puzzles by Saalfield. ©1940 Superman, Inc. Boxed set No. 179. Box lid has minor corner tip wear and vintage Christmas sticker and is o/w Exc. Each puzzle features choice action scene art, featured as covers to "Action Comics" #10 (airplane) and #17 (tank) as well as "Superman" #4 (columns). Saalfield released three different Superman boxed puzzle sets, each w/different configuration and lid art. This set's lid features image of Superman lifting tank as used for puzzle in set. Columns puzzle is missing one piece at top left but o/w puzzles are complete and Exc. overall. Scarce set.
