Item Description
18.5x21" frame contains matted artboard w/oil painting original art by The Brothers Hildebrandt created in 1994 for Fleer's popular "Marvel Masterpieces" trading card series. Card #53 features the Paige Guthrie, aka Husk, a mutant associated w/Generation X and the X-Men. The younger sister of X-Man Cannonball, Husk's powers allow her to shed her skin, revealing another skin of a different composition underneath. The character first appeared in 1984 and was further developed in the 1994-2001 "Generation X" comic title. Art shows Husk having just shed her skin, revealing a new stone skin. Signed "G & T Hildebrandt" at bottom. Tim Hildebrandt has since passed away. Few pieces of original Marvel art by The Brothers Hildebrandt come up for sale on the secondary market, making this a truly special piece. Art remains NM and ready for display as professionally matted and framed.
