Item Description
28x37" frame contains large and impressive acrylic on canvas painting by legendary Fantasy/Sci-Fi and comic book artist Greg Hildebrandt. Art features Sci-Fi heroes John Carter of Mars and Princess of Mars Dejah Thoris from Edgar Rice Burroughs' series of Martian novels in battle w/the Martians from the Mars Attacks series. This art will grace the cover of an upcoming Dynamite Entertainment comic book "Warlord Of Mars Attacks" #2, scheduled to hit stands July 2019. Art shows John Carter slicing the top off of one of the Martians' bulbous brains and firing ray gun w/his other hand as Dejah Thoris wields two ray guns, directing the beam of one through a Martian's head. Burroughs's heroes stand atop a pile of dead Martians as three Martian saucers fly in the Martian skies above. Created March 2019, Hildebrandt has signed at lower right. NM as framed and ready for display. A must have for sci-fi fans.
