Item Description
7.75x11.75x2" deep box contains original packing paper and complete amount of two packs of three size 9.5 black stockings. Buster Brown Hosiery Mills of Chattanooga, TN, c. 1910. Lid's main panel features great illustration of Buster Brown and Tige playing tug-of-war w/stocking. Top/bottom side panels of lid features additional images of Buster and Tige w/right side panel having illustrated label featuring same tug-of-war image as well as stocking color, style, size. Lid has some scattered corner tip/edge wear but remains tight and Fine/VF overall. Stockings are packed in bundles of three w/repeat illustration paper band w/tug-of-war image and each pair has its own paper sticker at top w/repeated graphics. Sock material and labels show some lt. scattered aging, o/w contents and labels are VF/Exc. old store stock. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
