Item Description
8x10" vintage glossy from 1937 shows Joe McCarthy at left gesturing towards four pitchers in uniforms who are practicing. Reverse side has pencil note identifying players as: La Rocca, Tanulis, Sundra, and Makosky. Photo emulsion has age yellowing, faint crease just visible in reflected light. Fine/VF. Hall of Famer McCarthy was the first to manage teams and win pennants in both the AL and NL. He had nine league titles and won seven World Series championships. He managed the New York Yankees 1931-1946. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
