Item Description
Original mailing envelope w/typed recipient name/address label contains "Official Star Trek Catalog #1" (which features items for sale including stationery, newsletter, postcards, bumper stickers, "Star Trek" scripts, insignia, "Film Clip Frames," etc.) and "Inside Star Trek 1" booklet/newsletter, both from 1968, during the show's initial run. Also comes w/welcome letter from Gene Roddenberry (w/facsimile signature) noting fans' desire for collectibles resulting in the need to publish said catalog and two catalog pages (one w/corner clip). Envelope shows obvious mailing/handling wear and has rough opening at right. VG. Paper contents have varying degrees of handling/aging and are Fine to Exc. overall. Mentioned on catalog, lot also includes total of 16 individual frames from the actual 35mm film shot for "Star Trek." These are first print daily originals from the very film that ran through the cameras while they filmed the show, resulting in no two clips being the same. The 16 frames consist of two complete sets of eight featuring Captain Kirk; two are from "Patterns Of Force" (featuring Kirk as Nazi) and "The Deadly Years" (featuring a much older Kirk). One of the single catalog sheets has small clip (for frames ordered here) and lot comes w/small original envelope that the frames came in. Also comes w/eight vintage mounts bought separately and can be used w/these to show in a projector. Exc.
