Item Description
This is a superbly colored 1.25" button which most often has color registration flaws, but not present on this spectacular example. Nipper stares into the golden horn of the phonograph with the name "Victor" on its side and below is the famous slogan "His Master's Voice". Top edge reads "Wurlitzer-Cincinnati". Reverse has W&H back paper with larger text giving address for Wurlitzer Co. in Cincinnati plus text "Victor Talking Machines/Gold Medal 1901/Musical Instruments Of Every Description." The 1901 date is a reference to the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo. About the sixth we've handled in our 52 years but one of only two or three with perfect registration. NM displaying Mint.
