Item Description
9.25x16.5x2-1/8" deep box contains 1940s English set by the British Thomson-Houston Co. Ltd. Lid features choice art of Dumbo as clown w/Timothy Mouse and circus clowns and additional Dumbo images on all sides, including circus train. Same art appears on the flip-up insert card (now loose at hinge). Complete w/cardboard insert tray. Box shows some aging and scattered edge/corner tip wear and a few small spots of white paint on underside of lid. Insert card has some spots of dark staining at upper right. Box bottom has 1.75" puncture but remains structurally sound and box displays Fine overall. 12 hard plastic bulb shades w/wrap-around decals featuring Dumbo, Timothy Mouse, Dumbo's Mother, Mr. Stork, the Crows and circus characters including clowns. Eight different decal designs. English light harness w/English light cord, plug and bulbs. One shade has .25" hole w/1.75" crack and some decal flaking. Other shades have typical aging. Decals have darkened w/age and have some small scattered decal flakes. Broken shade is just Good while rest are Fine/VF overall. Rare and only the second we've seen of this Mazda set in our 52 years.
