Item Description
Lot of five items from 1942 "Dumbo D-X" weekly gasoline promotion. Lot includes 8.5x11.25" illustrated envelope that contains textured paper binder titled "The Adventures Of Walt Disney's Dumbo" which was designed to hold "Dumbo Weekly" premium newsprint inserts that were giveaways a D-X gas stations. Comes w/"Dumbo Weekly" No. 1 which features story, games and "Gags" as well as D-X advertisement on back w/specialty Dumbo illustration. Lot also includes 3x4-5/8" punch card for "D-X Dumbo Club" that has two punches, indicating two supplements were received. Card has not been filled out but shows scattered handling wear as well as having hole and rim wear from included 1.25" cello pinback button. Card is Fine overall. Button has Kay Kamen backpaper. Minor indent, but this is only visible in reflected light and button and is o/w bright, glossy and VF. Rest of contents show varying degrees of aging and handling wear and are VG to Fine overall. Binder envelope is rare.
