Item Description
Lot of four buttons. First two smaller buttons are each 7/8" litho, the first w/"flat" lettering is the first ever Superman button from 1939 and the second w/"3-D" lettering is from 1942. Both have blue "Read Superman Action Comics Magazine" text on the reverse. Very tiny typical wear traces for litho buttons but almost no paint loss. 1.25" dia. celluloid-covered pair were issued during the 1950s as part of the "Supermen Of America" club kits, and each bears NCP copyrights. One is variant w/darker blue coloring and is slightly off-center. All remain glossy and Exc.
