Item Description
6.25" tall molded and painted pressed cardboard figures are attached to cheesecloth-covered spring/squeaker base that bears two different images of Happy Hooligan and Maud the Mule, both characters created by Frederick Burr Opper. Raised text between Maud's leg note "P.R. Italy" maker, c. 1915. When base is pushed, Maud's head goes up and down and her tail goes in and out, however no squeak noise is produced. Scattered lt. wear w/some dust soiling and surface wear around sides of base. 1/8" paint flake of Maud's face, but still displays VF.
