Item Description
30.5x40.5" poster printed by the W.F. Powers Co. Litho of New York, 1918 to bolster sales of the Victory Liberty Loan. Poster features great art by Clyde Forsythe depicting US soldier standing on battlefield holding rifle and three German helmets. The soldier has a bloody bandage visible under doughboy helmet. "And They Thought We Couldn't Fight" text at top right. Additional text at bottom reads "Invest In The Victory Liberty Loan." Printed by Ketterlinus of Philadelphia, PA. Poster has some minor corner tip/margin wear at bottom and would display VF if framed.
