Item Description
PLEASE NOTE - RING CONDITION IS AS DESCRIBED. WHAT YOU SEE IN OUR PHOTO (ESPECIALLY IF ENLARGED) IS NOT WHAT IS SEEN BY THE NAKED EYE. THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE AMPLIFIES EVEN THE MOST MINOR IMPERFECTION. LOOKING AT THE ITEM IN PERSON AND UNDER NORMAL VIEWING CONDITIONS, LITTLE TO NONE OF THIS IS EVIDENT. WHEN WE GIVE A RING LIKE THIS A HIGH GRADE, THAT IS THE ACCURATE GRADE AND A MORE TRUE ACCOUNT OF THE ITEM AS SEEN IN THE CATALOG PHOTO.

This premium brass ring is only the second example of this rare variety we've encountered, differing from previous examples. On those, the top outer edge of the ring was copper luster while the center plate w/embossed "CV" initial was brass luster. This example features the metallic lusters reversed, w/outer rim in brass and inner "CV" in copper. From later in the production run, w/higher serial number "174779". The bottom edge of the "CV" piece has a tiny brass stem that joins it to the ring base. A piece of paper can be slipped under the "CV" disc and then the hinged metal pressed down thus pressing the "CV" seal into the paper. Because the stem holding the piece is so thin and fixed into position, most quickly broke off this top cover and most examples of the ring, while they may look complete, are w/o this upper slightly moveable piece. Trace of luster wear but still a high grade, Exc. example. Both luster versions of this ring are rare, and this is only the second example of this variety we've offered in our 52 years.
