Item Description
2" long gray plastic rocket body to be placed on removable yellow plastic ring base (missing) but is o/w complete. Issued as a Power House candy bar premium, 1952. Promotional text on included paper notes recipient could "Wear It As A Ring Or Carry It In Your Pocket." Rocket includes keychain and has built-in "Secret Alarm And Signal Whistle." Also an inset and removable "Secret Magnifying Glass" is positioned on the tip of rocket. Main feature is a glow-in-dark .5x5/8" stiff paper insert featuring Captain Video illustration. Insert glows. Tail fin area of the plastic surface has slightly whiter color as made. Scarce paper is folded as issued and has some aging/handling wear. Fine. A similar ring was also issued by Popsicle as a premium for Major Mars featuring the same base (see following item), which could easily be swapped out for use w/this ring.
