Item Description
10" dia. Soft-paste w/black portrait transfer and trim. c. 1809. Similar to plate M.5 on page 133 of Arman's Anglo-American Ceramics but here the transfer is not captioned. Minor edge wear most notably a small chip at 1 o'clock. Fine. An especially impressive display piece as material from this era is almost non-existent. Mike Nichols Collection.
