9.75x13.5" on vellum. President Monroe grants Thomas Wheatley, "A Private In Capt. Harrison's Company Of The Second Regiment Of Richmond" one hundred and sixty acres in the territory of Illinois. Dated October 6, 1817. Signed at conclusion in black ink pen by "James Monroe." Document retains affixed white paper seal at lower left. One vertical and two horizontal folds. Moderate edge wear and age toning. Fine. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
