Item Description
CAS graded and encapsulated case contains original white mailer box, vacuform plastic tray w/sealed baggie set of four 2.25-4.25" tall action figures including R2-D2, Chewbacca, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker (standard saber), baggie w/additional plastic pegs for posing figures, Includes larger version of mini-catalog advertising the Star Wars Action Figure line and vehicles and mail-away offer for the Early Bird Premium Collector Stand. Kenner used this mail-away promotional offer in order to get Star Wars action figures to consumers before they hit store shelves as they were not able to get their figures to market in time for the 1977 holiday season. Offered in a special "Star Wars Early Bird Certificate Package," consumers could send away for this kit offered here. The plastic pegs were used for attaching figures to the plain cardboard stand included in the Early Bird Certificate Package. Kenner ©1977, 20th Century-Fox Film Corp. CAS-graded 75.
