Item Description
13x20" artboard has Todd McFarlane's pen and ink original art for page 11 of "Infinity Inc." #29, published by DC Aug. 1986. Art was inked by Tony DeZuniga. Art features six panels. Art features Carcharo (who dies in this issue) gravely injuring Helix (see previous item #1262 for brief info on this supervillain team) member Kritter, causing Baby Boom (now sporting a mohawk and punk clothing and going by Babe) to angrily react. Carcharo states that if Babe uses her explosive telekinesis powers to defeat him, she'll have to blow up the unconscious Mr. Bones, who Carcharo holds in his arms. This causes Babe to threaten Carcharo's cohorts Rema and Mora in last panel, much to their shock. Of note, McFarlane co-created every character shown on this page. Top margin has penciled title and issue/page numbers. DC copyright stamp on back. Margins have some production notations and second panel has some text correction strips. Artboard has staple hole at top left corner and shows some lt. scattered margin wear but art remains clean and Exc. Nice example of McFarlane's art from early in his career and for a title he had a significant run on (providing the art for "Infinity Inc." #14-37).
