Item Description
13x20" DC Comics artboard has Todd McFarlane's pen and ink original art for the first page of "Infinity Inc." #25, published by DC April 1986. Art was inked by Tony DeZuniga. Splash page features great scene of nearly the entire Infinity Inc. team - Brainwave, Jade, Obsidian, Nuklon, Northwind, Fury and Silver Scarab reacting to the paycheck they've just been given by the Star-Spangled Kid. The "Infinity Inc." introduction panel, story/credit panel, publishing indicia and all word balloons are stat paste-overs. Back of artboard has attached sheet of vellum featuring hand-lettered story/credit panel and word balloons that were converted to stats for publication. Vellum sheet is evenly aged and shows some edge/corner tip wear and is Fine overall. Top margin has inked partial title and issue/page numbers as well as month of publication. Margins have some production notations. Artboard has some lt. scattered margin wear w/staple hole at top left corner, but art remains clean and Exc. Exceptional example of McFarlane's art from early in his career and for a title he had a significant run on (providing the art for "Infinity Inc." #14-37).
