Item Description
Pair of 1930s stickers w/gummed backs, measuring 1-1/8x2.5" and 1-3/8x2-5/8". One features face of screaming woman and image of The Shadow w/his large cape and radio program info on it. Unused w/faint vertical crease. VF overall. Other features The Shadow's shadow w/radio program information. Unused and NM. Lot of six ink blotters, measuring 3.5x6" to 4x9". All issued by Blue Coal dealers, 1940s. The Shadow appears on all blotters in four different styles, smaller blotter has more prominent image. Three are unused and Exc. while other three show varying degrees of aging/wear and are VG overall (one w/moisture staining at corner). Comes w/2.75x6" blotter for Shadow-inspired radio detective program The Whistler." Issued by sponsor "Household Finance Corporation," 1947-1948. Includes imprint for "WCBS" New York radio station featuring silhouette image of Shadow-inspired character wearing hat and whistling w/"Mystery At Its Best - A Radio Program For You" text. Unused and Exc. Scarce.
