Whitman No. 778, ©1934. Photo cover. First interior page has been boldly signed in black felt tip pen by Johnny Weissmuller (1904-1984), who added "Tarzan" character name below his signature. Book's cover shows moderate edge/corner tip wear as well as wear to top/bottom of spine. Back cover has .25" spot of surface paper lift. Pages have evenly tanned w/age and signed page has 1.75" tear at top along binding, but page o/w remains firmly affixed. Good overall w/Exc. signature. While Weissmuller was a prolific signer, BLBs were not often used to obtain his signature. Any Weissmuller signed BLB is a rarity, and this is the first we've offered in our 52 years. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
