Item Description
Lot of seven items (including envelope) issued as premiums by Kellogg's 1939-1940. Lot includes - "Don Winslow's Official Squadron Of Peace Manual" w/envelope (missing mailing label), "Don Winslow Creed," as well as "Squadron Of Peace" Ensign and Lt. Commander metal badges and "1.25" dia. "Don Winslow Honor Coin." Manual has some pinch creases to spine and is Fine/VF. Envelope shows expected wear and is Fine. Creed has two horizontal fold (one as issued) and is o/w Fine/VF. Both badges have luster wear and are VF overall. Lt. Commander badge is very rare as it was difficult to obtain, resulting in few being awarded. Coin has some luster wear to raised portions on both sides but is o/w VF. Lot also includes 2x2x17" long illustrated cardboard periscope premium that includes slanted generic mirror at each end of scope (missing one, easily replaced). Periscope has penciled name on side and is evenly aged. Scattered handling wear w/some creases. Fine overall. An instant collection.
