Item Description
1.25" with a fixed horizontal bar pin c. 1900 and with rarely seen back paper reading "Hub Miniature Co. 34-36 Portland St. Boston". Millie De Leon, in her day,  was known as "The Queen of All Dancers" and "The Girl In Blue". She was famous for manipulating the news media through the artful use of the scandal and she has been called "The First Real Queen Of American Burlesque." She traveled across America, often at odds with local indecency ordinances, as she sometimes  performed sans underwear which became obvious when she removed and tossed her garter to the audience.  We've twice had a real photo 1.5" button, but this is our first offered 1.25". Exc. displaying Mint.
