Item Description
"The World Of Commander McBragg" was a series of short animated segments first appearing in 1963 in "Tennessee Tuxedo And His Tales" before going on to the "Underdog" show from 1964-1973. Offered here is 4-5/8x7-7/8" pad of 34 "Tomkins Telepad" sheets, each featuring mixed media original art for storyboards for "The World Of Commander McBragg" episode 44, "Coney Island," which originally aired Jan. 8, 1966. Total Television Productions. Each page is numbered w/typed identification numbers and penciled in scene numbers on some. Page numbers are 1-35; missing 28. These pads map out the whole cartoon in art and dialogue and were often pulled apart and rearranged as the show came together. Sheets contain the complete episode. Storyline features the Commander visiting Coney Island and performing a high dive to win $2,000. Moderate aging/wear to outer sheets and oxidation to staples however, many inner sheets are near perfect as produced so condition varies from VG to Exc. Any studio used original art from this series is rare.
