Item Description
Lot consists of two different 1930s premium series offered by Kellogg's through "Rice Krispies," both featuring Vernon Grant's whimsical art. 14.25x19" die-cut standee w/easel back advertises series of six "Presdwood" Wall Plaques depicting scene from famous nursery rhymes like "Old King Cole" and "Wynken, Blynken And Nod." Plaques were available individually for two box tops and 10¢. Standee shows scattered handling/corner tip wear w/some creases at bottom corners and .5" spot of surface paper lift. Fine overall. Rare. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Lot also includes six 14x17-3/8" prints on textured paper from later 1938 series. Originally framed, prints include - "Jack Be Nimble; Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater; Jack And Jill; Little Jack Horner; Twinkle, Twinkle Littler Star" and "Humpty Dumpty." Prints have general handling wear/dust soiling w/some corner tip wear including tiny pin holes. Most are Fine/VF overall while "Jack And Jill" print has 2" tear at top center w/glue repair. VG. Comes w/vintage magazine ad w/order blank for these prints.
