Item Description
Lou Gehrig (1903-1941) died of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) on June 2, 1941 at just 37 years of age. A month after his passing, a memorial was held July 4, 1941 at Yankee Stadium to honor Gehrig and dedicate a monument to him in Memorial Park, behind center field of the stadium. Offered here is 2.5x3-3/8" ticket stub to the event, which features a striking photo portrait of Gehrig at the center. This is green variation, number "14171." Stub shows some lt. handling wear w/minor creases at bottom corners and along left margin. Still clean and VF overall.
