Item Description
Double-size 22x28.25" stiff paper poster is first and only printing for the Aug. 16-25, 1968 concerts at Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA featuring The Who, James Cotton, Magic Sam, Creedence Clearwater Revival, It's A Beautiful Day, Albert Collins, The Grateful Dead, Kaleidoscope, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Spooky Tooth and Cold Blood. Poster art by Alton Kelley and Rick Griffin features central design of a ghost-like image w/hand above and below, lower hand holding Aztec serpent sculpture. Concert information at the left/right sides have framework consisting of demonic winged insect-like creatures. Poster margins shows some scattered handling wear, w/lower right corner and upper margins showing more moderate handling. Fine/VF. Very graphic and impressive Fillmore poster.
