Item Description
7" tall. Cast iron by J. & E. Stevens. Butler, the 1884 National Greenback Labor Party presidential nominee, is portrayed as a 'green back' frog w/text along arms reads "Bonds And Toddy For The Masses". Horizontal hairline crack extending from the right of Butler's mouth. Moderate paint wear notably in peak areas and along front of base but retaining over 90% of original paint. VF. Retains original trap. A nice example of this rare bank featuring the notorious Civil War general and American political figure.
