Item Description
7.25x9-1/8" stiff glossy cardstock. Wonderful image of Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Pluto looking through the window of the Three Little Pigs' house as Pigs sing, play instruments and dance on top of the grinning (but obviously deceased) Big Bad Wolf, who lays on the floor as a rug. Gift from the Wolf, a container marked "Turpentine" is under the Christmas tree. Text reads "Sing A Christmas Carol! The Wolf Is On The Floor! And So, A Merry Christmas And Hurray For '34!" This is one of two versions, this example w/o "Printed In The U.S.A." text at bottom right corner. Blank reverse. Pin holes at top corners and scattered margin wear. Bottom margin has some moderate dust soiling. VG. Early and scarce studio card. Comes w/7.25x8.5x.75" deep boxed set of "Note-Paper For Children Featuring Walt Disney's Three Little Pigs" by Hobby Stationers, who only had the Disney license 1945-1947, accounting for this set's scarcity. Box has some surface paper lifting from price sticker removal on lid and box shows scattered handling/edge/corner tip wear. Fine overall. Comes w/12 of 18 illustrated sheets, featuring the Three Little Pigs and Big Bad Wolf w/individual envelopes. These remain wrapped w/"Created For Hobby" paper band. Aged but Exc. First we've offered in our 53 years.
