Item Description
Complete set of 15 numbered cards, each 2.75x4". 1930s issued by "Evaristo Juncosa Panella", Barcelona. From a series of cards based on classic cartoon shorts that featured Mickey, Oswald, Felix and others. Card fronts have bw art, text backs describing the scene along with company imprint and "Chocolates Selectos." Top margin has series letter and subset title, this is "B" and based on the 1929 cartoon short "The Haunted House." Mickey Mouse is trapped in a haunted house and forced to play music. He is confronted by a cloaked figure and skeletons. The short was directed by Walt Disney who also provided the voice of Mickey. Ub Iwerks was the primary animator. Lt. scattered margin wear/aging. Overall EX to EX/NM. A rare foreign card issue, only the second we've seen in our 53 years.
