Item Description
6x9x1.75" tall (3.5" tall to top of header) illustrated display box contains die-cut insert that holds hard plastic television set viewer and five printed paper "films." Lido Toy Co. © Kagran, 1950s. Underside of box features cut-outs of Howdy Doody, Mister Bluster, Dilly Dally, Princess SummerFall WinterSpring, Clarabell and Flub-A-Dub. Die-cut displays lid has been punched and cellophane window remains intact, though loose at one corner. Box shows moderate wear w/creases to header, 1.5" and 3" edge tears to left side flap's hinge, heavy crease to back side panel and corner tip wear. Box is VG/Fine overall. Four films come in individual boxes, each bearing Howdy Doody and friends' portraits as well as name of film while fifth film was issued already in viewer. Boxed films include - "The Sideshow, Let's Go Fishing, Howdy Doody Goes To Mars" and "Howdy Doody Visits Indian Friends." Sideshow box is missing end flap, o/w rest are complete and VF overall. Films are NM as is viewer. Complete and unused. Rare and first we've offered in our 53 years.
