Item Description
Set of six hard plastic figures w/movable mouths, each individually boxed. Tee-Vee Toy, © Kagran. 1950s. These are the much rarer varieties in individual boxes as opposed to single carded and boxed sets. First five are in die-cut cardboard display boxes designed like TV sets including open at top of back for user's finger to operate mouth. Howdy Doody box is 4" tall w/slightly different design and color scheme. © Bob Smith. Boxes for Clarabelle, Mr. Bluster, Dilly Dally, Princess Summerfall Winterspring are 4.25" tall. Clarabell has balloon which blows up instead of moveable mouth. Boxes show scattered wear, a few w/edge tears to flaps or edge wear to open display window. Clarabell box shows moderate wear w/3/8" tear at top left and Dilly Dally box has .25" tear by window and faint inked number on front. These boxes are VG/Fine overall others are Fine to VF w/Exc. contents. Flub-A-Dub box is 3.25x3.5x3.5" tall w/four die-cut windows and larger figure than the others. Flub-A-Dub box shows moderate wear w/.5" piece missing from one side and some edge tears, corner tip wear. VG, but comes w/Plexiglas inserts to help box keep shape. Figure is Exc. We have only offered this rare boxed set a few times in our 53 years.
