Item Description
16-3/8x22-1/8x2" deep die-cut cardboard display done in shadow box style w/easel back. Early, most likely first display for Matchboxes YesterYear line as display's box image is first US version and names on front of display include the first toys issued w/No. 1-16. US display has "FB Toy Imports" text at corner for Fred Bonner Company, Matchbox's US distributor of the period. Top corners have pair of small holes, w/two additional hole at upper right and corners show wear. Back of display has 1.5x2" area gnawed off and bkg. has some scattered spots of staining. Left/right sides of inner back area have had some added reinforcement repairs. VG overall. Scarce.
