7.75x9.75" partially printed document dated "Washington May 18th, 1836" that authorizes "The Secretary Of State To Affix The Seal Of The United States To An Order" for the "Discharge From Imprisonment" of "Sarah Alias Catherine Hughes." Signed boldly at conclusion "Andrew Jackson" in black ink. Vertical and two horizontal folds. A separation along lower right fold intersecting signature that has been repaired on reverse w/archival tape. Otherwise extremely clean. Fine. Rare. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
