Item Description
8.75x11" matte paper premium depicting the 1941 Elmira Pioneers ball club, a Detroit Tigers Class A - Eastern League affiliate. Credit for the photograph appears in the lower right-hand corner "Loomis". The Pioneers finished in first place in 1941 with a record of 71-67. Ten future MLB players appeared for Elmira this season: Buster Chatham, Andy Cohen, Sammy Holbrook, Sal Maglie, Alex Monchak, Clarence Pickrel, Jess Pike, Eddie Robinson, Hugh Shelley & Bill Strickland. Premium exhibits minor corner and edge wear, back has a small .75" sticker indicating "20-". VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
