Item Description
10-5/8x16" artboard has pen and ink original art by Gil Kane for page 5 of "Hawk And Dove" Vol. 1 #5, published by DC Comics May 1969. Page features five panels, showing Hawk and Dove running across rooftop after fighting crime, their cowls already removed (Hawk's face mask remains in place). Out of costumes, Hank and Don Hal arrive at home to find their father (Judge Irwin Hall), deep in thought, worried that a man who once saved his life came before him at court that day, accused of robbing a bank and critically injuring two people. Top margin has handwritten title and issue/page numbers. Faint editorial notation at left margin. Top/bottom corners have hole punches and art has some scattered white correctional fluid. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Art has a few tiny spots of aging to left edge of first panel but is o/w clean and VF/Exc.
