Item Description
This program was another of the many aviation focused radio programs of the 1930s. This series featuring 15 year old Speed Gibson as an ace pilot and member of the "International Secret Police" was in syndication in 1937-1938. The program had many sponsors, as reflected in this lot. There are 20 pieces in total. 14 buttons, 1-1/8" to 3" dia. but most are 1.5". All are different be it totally or just the issuer imprint. Ten are "Prize" buttons, litho club member, Canadian club member, rare photo button (rim stain) and even rarer (only example we know of) large "Tune In" promo, likely worn by a store clerk. Six metal badges in two styles, again each from a different issuer. A couple items are Good/VG but most are Fine to Exc. An instant and comprehensive collection. Some items are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
