Item Description
Lot of three 11x14.5" hardcover bound volumes of "Yank," the US Army's weekly magazine published during World War II. These volumes originally came from noted reporter/newscaster/game show host John Charles Daly, who served during World War II as  the first national correspondent to report the Attack on Pearl Harbor, much of the front-line news from Europe and North Africa as well as the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt. These three volumes were bound specifically for Daly, as his name is stamped in gold gilt lettering on front cover of each. Vol. 1 bound volume contains "Yank" Vol. 1 #1-51. Vol. 2 bound volume contains "Yank" Vol. 2 #1-17. Vol. 4 bound volume contains "Yank" Vol. 4 #1-28. Not all issues are complete and vary in condition w/even aging and some scattered edge wear due to brittleness of pages. Interior pages range from VG to VF and bound volumes shows just some lt. aging and corner tip wear and are Fine/VF overall.
