Item Description
11.25x14-3/8x3" deep box w/beautiful graphics of Buck flying through space w/ray gun and various spaceships. Box has scattered aging and dust soiling w/glue repair to entire left edge of lid and both left lid corners (w/one having partial split). Lower left corner has moderate staining. Box is Good/VG overall but main lid panel (which has .5" line puncture) remains nice for display. Box contains Sackman Brothers Co. outfit set issued in 1935, available as both a store item and was also issued as a Cream of Wheat premium. Pants have suede-like chaps/cuffs, which have hardened w/age, one having 3" seam split. Scattered age spotting and staining from suede. VG. Vest has 3.5" dia. leather patch w/metal rivets that has "Buck Rogers 25th Century" image/text. This has some scattered age spotting and vest's piping has some scattered staining. Fine. Vest comes w/issued plain orange long-sleeved shirt which shows moderate soiling and is VG. Set also includes child's size Large suede cloth helmet w/movable visor unit w/plastic eye cover insert. Chrome luster metal ear flaps feature relief "Buck Rogers 25th Century" image. Has chin strap w/buckle. Complete w/original separate metal accent piece attached to top back center as issued. Suede has hardened w/age and has scattered wear/surface cracks and now displays flat. Good/VG. Rare. Comes w/11" long nice quality suede on canvas holster w/original belt designed to hold Daisy Rocket Pistol XZ-31. Holster has fabric patches attached by metal rivets. These feature rocketships and planets while bottom patch has full figure image of Buck and "Buck Rogers 25th Century" text. There are also three die-cut blue star attachments and red strap across center. Scattered hairline cracks to suede covering w/most noticeable wear at top center. One top patch has some dust soiling and rivets have some scattered aging/oxidation. Buck patch has slight bend so it does not lay perfectly flat. VG/Fine. Well designed set. Rare as boxed.
