Item Description
"Bill Barnes, Air Adventurer" was a Street & Smith published pulp that began in 1934. The title was changed to "Bill Barnes, Air Trails" in late 1935 and became simply "Air Trails" from 1937 to 1939. Barnes also appeared in issues of "Doc Savage Magazine." Offered here is 1.5" wide silver luster wings badge issued c. 1934 by Street & Smith. Badge has some lt. wear to edges but retains nice patina. Exc. Rare and just one of a few examples we've offered in our 53 years. Comes w/1.5" dia. cello "Air Warden - Cadet" button featuring image of airplane. Button was issued w/Airplane Spotter booklet c. 1943. Back edge has small flake to cello but front remains bright and glossy, displaying Exc.
