Item Description
1-3/8" dia. tin litho w/.75" long metal tab on back, bent at "Bend Here" text as designed. Front has multi-color design w/detective in sunglasses and hat disguise as large dog lunges forward at left. Extensive text on the back of the piece, reading "This Badge Is The First Gift In The Boys' Magazine Detective Outfit. Gifts Including Invisible Ink, Finger-Print Tester, Mystery Message Maker, Duplicator, Etc., Free Every Week In Boys' Magazine." 1930s. Badge has trivial 3/16" hairline scratch on far right edge but o/w condition remains Exc. This is the only known example and is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
