Item Description
Disney dolls by Charlotte Clark are among the nicest of any Disney dolls ever produced. There were three standard sizes of Clark Mickey and Minnie Mouse dolls produced for retail sale. c. early 1930s. This Mickey Mouse is the largest size and stands 19" tall to the tips of his ears. Doll is mostly stitched cloth w/oilcloth eyes (which may have been replaced long ago or re-attached), felt ears and stitched cord mouth and cord whiskers. This is scarce variety w/corduroy pants (complete w/mother-of-pearl buttons) and shoes. Complete w/long fabric tail. Dolls wears 1.25" dia. cello button, issued by one of the many Mickey Mouse movie theaters clubs during the 1930s. Button has classic image of Mickey waving below "Mickey Mouse Club" text. Button was attached to doll when original owner won said doll in a theater talent contest. Doll has some lt. age toning to white portion of face and hands, but is o/w totally bright and clean w/vibrant, rich color. Stitched repairs at neck but still displays VF overall. Button has slightest fade but remains bright and glossy w/just lt. surface wear that is visible in reflected light. VF.
